Worcester Air began its Lean journey in 2010. We have trained over 100 employees, both union and non-union, in the principles of continuous improvement. We developed a custom curriculum that consists of introductory (LEAN 101) and advanced courses (LEAN 102)designed to teach our staff how to think about continuous improvement in a construction environment. We do not believe that LEAN is about "whiz-bang" technology or a shiny factory. It is a belief system that values ideas from every level of the company and works hard to implement those ideas. The result is increased value for customers and employees alike.

Worcester Air believes strongly in an employee-driven idea generation process. Foremen conduct A3 sessions at their projects in the field. Each internal department works with an idea generation board to create, track and follow-through on ways to reduce waste from project inception through completion. In 2012, we totally reorganized our fabrication shop based on a design generated by shop floor employees. For 2015, we are focused on improving the flow of materials from our vendors and from our shop out to job sites... Everything on Wheels!

LEAN is a never-ending process that seeks continuous improvement in every process in our company. Worcester Air is committed to this process for the long haul.
